The Myanmar–Thailand Team participated in the 5th International Conference on Burma/Myanmar Studies, held at Chiang Mai University in Thailand from 14–16 August 2026. As part of the conference, the team convened a panel session, “The Confined Lives of Displacement: Agency and Displacement Across the Myanmar–Thailand Border,” featuring three papers examining different dimensions of displacement and confinement across the Myanmar–Thailand border.
